Book of Faith at Memorial Lutheran
The Book of Faith is an initiative of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. The Book of Faith initiative invites the whole church to become more fluent in the first language of faith, the language of Scripture, in order that we might live into our calling as a people renewed, enlivened, empowered, and sent by the Word. You can find out more at www.bookoffaith.org.
Throughout January you will be introduced to The Book of Faith initiative. During Lent, our midweek services will look closely at the petitions to the Lord’s Prayer using the accompanying Lenten devotional which you can purchase for $10.00.
We will then use internet technologies to assist us in a web-based discussion about our study of scripture and the Lord’s Prayer. I have set up my own site at:
http://bookoffaith.ning.com/profile/RevGregoryIsaacson
or you can link through the church’s website. Check this out at your earliest convenience and request to be added to my “Memorial Lutheran Church of Afton” group
This is really an experiment to see if we can engage more people in the study of scripture and discussion using some existing technologies. I look forward to hearing from you and hope you will join us online.
